About us

An IT consultancy that would rather lose the sale than oversell the scope

Founded in London in 2013 and independent ever since. We are deliberately mid-sized: large enough to put an engineer in ninety countries, small enough that the person who scoped your work is still reachable when it is being delivered.

Mission

To give organisations the technical depth of a global IT department without the cost, rigidity or recruitment lead time of building one.

Vision

A world where infrastructure quality is not a function of where a business happens to be headquartered.

By the numbers

Where we are today

  • 13+

    Years in operation

    Independent since 2013

  • 97

    Countries covered

    With active engineer coverage

  • 4,500+

    Engineers on call

    Vetted and accredited

  • 1,200+

    Sites deployed

    In the last three years

Values

Six commitments we can be held to

Values are only useful if breaking them would be noticeable. These are written so a client could point at one and say we did not do it.
  • Evidence over assertion

Every claim we make about your estate comes with the data behind it. If we cannot evidence it, we do not put it in the report.

  • Independence

We take no margin on the products we recommend. The advice you get is the advice we would take ourselves.

  • Say the difficult thing early

A slipping programme told about in week three is a problem. Told about in week eleven it is a crisis. We escalate early, including against ourselves.

  • Engineering craft

Labelled cables, documented changes, tested rollbacks. The unglamorous discipline that makes the next ten years cheap.

  • Local presence, single standard

One accreditation bar, one reporting template and one invoice, whether the work is in Manchester or Manila.

  • Long contracts, short notice periods

We would rather earn the renewal than enforce it. Clients stay because leaving is easy and staying is better.

Our story

From four people in London to ninety countries

Growth came from clients asking us to cover somewhere we did not yet operate, and us building the capability rather than declining. That is still how the map expands.

Methodology

How every engagement runs

Same five stages whether it is a four-week assessment or a three-year managed service. Each stage produces an artefact you keep.
  1. 01

    Discover

Estate discovery, stakeholder interviews and dependency mapping. We establish what is actually there before anyone proposes a change to it.

    • Asset and dependency map
    • Risk register
    • Stakeholder RACI
  2. 02

    Design

Target-state architecture, costed options and a phased plan with explicit exit criteria for each stage.

    • Low-level design
    • Costed options paper
    • Phased roadmap
  3. 03

    Deploy

Staged build, rehearsed cutover and controlled execution inside agreed windows, with rollback criteria defined before we start.

    • Cutover runbook
    • As-built documentation
    • Completion sign-off
  4. 04

    Operate

Transition into managed service with monitoring, service desk and a named delivery manager against a published SLA.

    • Signed SLA
    • Live service dashboard
    • Escalation matrix
  5. 05

    Improve

Monthly service reviews and a standing improvement plan, because the estate you documented in January is not the estate you have in December.

    • Monthly service pack
    • Improvement backlog
    • Annual architecture review

What makes us different

Contractual, not aspirational

Every item here is written into the agreement. That is the difference between a differentiator and a slogan.
  • Genuine global reach

Engineer coverage in 90+ countries under one contract, one SLA and one invoice — not a broker passing your ticket to a stranger.

  • Vendor independence

Accredited across the major vendors, tied to none of them. We hold the certifications so we can argue from evidence rather than brochures.

  • Published, credited SLAs

Response and resolution targets are contractual, measured and credit-backed. Misses are applied automatically, not on request.

  • Named accountability

A named service delivery manager and a named technical lead on every engagement. You always know whose phone to ring.

  • Documentation as a deliverable

As-built drawings, runbooks and decision records are contractual outputs, not an afterthought if there is time.

  • 24/7 without an asterisk

Follow-the-sun service desk across three hubs, staffed by engineers in-region rather than an answering service.

Honest limits

What we do not do

Every consultancy has a boundary. Most of them find out where it is during delivery. Here is ours, in advance.
  • We do not resell hardware or software. If you need procurement, we will introduce you to a reseller and take nothing for it.
  • We do not build products. Custom application development is outside our practice and we will say so rather than learn on your budget.
  • We do not run a tier-3 threat-hunting SOC. We provide managed detection and response, and partner where deeper capability is genuinely needed.
  • We do not take work we cannot staff properly. If the timeline needs people we do not have, you will hear that before you hear a price.

Certifications

Audited annually, across every region

  • ISO 9001:2015

Information security. Information security management system audited annually across all delivery regions.

  • ISO 45001:2018

Occupational health & safety. Health and safety management covering field engineering, working at height and site work.

  • ISO 14001:2015

  • ITIL 4 aligned

Service management. Service management practices aligned to ITIL 4 across incident, problem and change.

Client feedback

In their words

  • We had eleven suppliers doing field work across Europe and eleven different definitions of 'complete'. White Raven replaced all of them with one SLA and one report format. The visibility alone was worth the change.

    Marta Nowicka

Head of European IT Operations, a pan-European retail group

    Retail

  • They told us not to migrate two of our three target workloads, with the TCO model showing why. That single piece of advice paid for the whole engagement, and it is the reason we trusted them with the third.

    David Okonkwo

Chief Technology Officer, a UK challenger bank

    Financial services

  • The comms room hand-over pack was better documented than anything our previous integrator produced in six years. Every port labelled, every link certified, drawings that matched reality.

    Rebecca Hartley

Infrastructure Manager, a NHS foundation trust

    Healthcare

  • Nine hundred and forty sites in fourteen months, across eleven countries, and the weekly dashboard never once told us something we later found out was wrong. That is rarer than it should be.

    Tomás Alvarez

Programme Director, a European grocery chain

    Retail

  • We needed a Singapore presence before we had a Singapore entity. They had an engineer on site within a week and covered us for eight months until we hired locally.

    Priya Raghunathan

VP Engineering Operations, a Series C SaaS platform

    Technology

  • Their P1 response has never once been late in three years, and when they missed a P3 target last spring the credit appeared on the invoice before we noticed. That is what accountability looks like.

Director of IT, a Netherlands logistics operator

Working together

Start with a conversation, not a proposal

Tell us what is going on. If we are the right supplier we will say so and scope it; if we are not, we will tell you who is.
